Ogle County Sheriff's Police arrested a Wisconsin man last night following a vehicle chase on Route 64.
Reports indicate that sheriff's police attempted to stop a 2000 Chevy Silverado driven by 30-year old Ryan Anderson of Watertown, Wisconsin in the 1,000 block of Route 64 in rural Oregon a short time after 11.
The chase lasted 5 miles with speeds at 40 miles per hours. The car was finally stopped on Chana Road, just north of Route 64.
Anderson was arrested on the charge of DUI along with fleeing to elude police. He was also ticketed for 2 violations of improper lane usage, illegal transportation of alcohol, along with failure to secure a child properly in a vehicle.
No one suffered any injuries during the vehicle chase.
Anderson was transported to the Ogle County jail in lieu of bond following the arrest. The child in the car was given to a custodial parent.
Oregon police assisted deputies in the arrest.
