The number of state-approved patients for medical marijuana continues to grow, but very slowly. With about a hundred approval letters sent out in June, the number of people permitted to use medical pot products is now 26-hundred, far short of the tens of thousands expected when the law was passed.
The state health department says about 22-thousand-six-hundred people have started the approval process and about 32-hundred complete applications are pending.
