June's rain levels are now officially in the record books. State climatologist Jim Angel says the statewide average precipitation last month in Illinois was nine-point-53-inches, making it the wettest June on record for the state.
It was also the second wettest month period. Only September of 1926 was a wetter month in Illinois history.
