Victims of last week's tornadoes and severe weather are being given an extension to file tax returns. Governor Rauner says people affected in parts of Grundy and Lee counties have until the end of the year to file tax returns that were due between June 22nd and December 31st. The extension is designed to provide relief for homeowners and local businesses that are recovering from the storms.
The tornado damaged the Woodhaven Lakes campground in Sublette. 1 person needed medical treatment due to injuries from the storm.
The cleanup process continues today at Woodhaven Lakes and other areas in Lee and Whiteside Counties.
