Woodhaven Lakes camping resort in Sublette will be open for the 1st time today to the public since the area was hit last Monday night by a tornado.
The campground has 6,144 lots and around 300 were occupied when the high winds struck Lee County this week. Numerous campers and buildings were damaged from the tornado along with trees blown down to the ground.
There will be several sections of the campground still closed to the public and traffic not allowed. Property owners in these areas will be notified with instructions on how they may access to their properties.
The Lee County Sheriff's Police will continue to patrol the camping area along with area fire departments.
Cleanup efforts will continue this weekend into next week for the area.
Woodhaven Lakes will be open for property owners at 8 this morning.
