The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Advisory for the Rock River in Ogle
County until Thursday Afternoon. The Rock River will rise to 11.1 feet.
Ogle County Sheriff Brian VanVickle is implementing the NO WAKE ordinance effective
today.
In addition to flooding, debris hazards such as floating and submerged logs
exist. Care should be taken when operating during this time. No person shall operate a
motorboat at a speed exceeding 5 miles per hour while traveling in a NO WAKE area.
It is anticipated the NO WAKE restriction will be lifted on Thursday.
