Ogle County property owners are reminded that the 1st installment on their tax bill is due tomorrow.
Over 29,300 tax bills were mailed in April. The county expects to collect a little over 119 million dollars. That's a small increase from a year ago.
Ogle County Treasurer John Coffman said that farm land values increased in the area while the residential figure saw a slight decline in numbers.
Payments can be made in cash or check to the Treasurer's office or any bank in Ogle County.
Area residents can also use the state treasurer's E-Pay program. Most major credit cards are accepted.
Mailed payments must be postmarked by the due date to be considered timely. Late payments will incur a fee of 1.5% per month or part of the month after the due date.
The 2nd installment for property owners in Ogle County is due on September 4th.
