Former U.S. House Speaker Dennis Hastert is due in Chicago federal court today for an arraignment following his indictment nearly two weeks ago. Hastert is accused of trying to hide three-and-a-half-million-dollars in bank withdraws intended for hush money to hide past misconduct. The payouts allegedly went to a former male student with whom he had a sexual relationship 30 years ago. The Illinois Republican hired top Washington D.C. lawyer Thomas Green of Sidley Austin to represent him in the case.
