A DeKalb man was arrested this past weekend following a stabbing incident in Malta.
59-year old Terence Low was arrested on the the felony offense of aggravated battery along with the misdemeanor charges of criminal trespass and damage to property.
The altercation took place Saturday morning at 404 East Jefferson Street in Malta. The male victim had been stabbed. He was first transported to Kishwaukee Community Hospital in DeKalb and later to OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say that Low and the victim knew each other. The DeKalb man had been asked to leave the residence in Malta. When he returned, the altercation took place between the 2 men.
Bond has been set at $30,000 for Low. He will appear in DeKalb County court on the charges at a later date.
