Ogle County Sheriff's Police have arrested 2 individuals in connection with business burglaries that took place in April.
20-year old Zachary Popp of Forreston has been charged with 3 counts of the felony offense. The break-ins took place at the Citco gas station in Leaf River, the Shell gas station in Grand DeTour, and Chesty P's and Pub in Polo.
Popp was also arrested on the charge of failure to register as a sex offender. He remains in jail in lieu of a $250,000 bond and will appear in court on June 17th for a hearing.
Sheriff's police also arrested a 17-year old boy from Mt. Morris on the charge of burglary. He was involved with the break-ins at the Citco and Shell gas stations in Leaf River and Grand DeTour. The teen has been transported to a juvenile detention center.
The investigation continues on these burglaries and further arrests are pending.
