A DeKalb man suffered fatal injuries early yesterday morning after he was struck by a train.
Pronounced dead at the scene was 50-year old Matthew Halverson.
DeKalb County Coroner Dennis Miller said that Halverson was on the railroad tracks just west of 1st Street crossing in DeKalb a short time after 4:30am when he was struck by the train.
The incident is being investigated by DeKalb Police and the DeKalb County Coroner's office. No foul play is suspected.
