Rochelle woman back in court following stabbing incident

A Rochelle woman pled not guilty in Ogle County court yesterday following a stabbing incident that took place last March.

35-year old Heather Harms has been charged with the felony offense of aggravated battery.

The domestic altercation took place on March 26th in the 11,000 block of East Fisher Road. The 25-year old male victim was not seriously injured after being stabbed in the upper chest area with a knife. He refused medical treatment at the scene.

In court yesterday, probable cause was found in the case by an Ogle County judge. Harms also demanded a jury trial.

She returns to court next Tuesday in Oregon for a status hearing.

Harms is out of jail after posting 10 percent of her $100,000 bond.
