An update report on the Public Safety Complex in Oregon along with property tax bills for people who suffered damage to their home or property from last month's tornado topped the discussion last night by the Ogle County board.
Work on the Public Safety Complex is done for the Ogle County Sheriff's Department and the Coroner's office. The 1-story building cost 4.2 million dollars as it came under budget by $47,000.
The board approved a resolution in deferring the due date for property taxes involving homes and other properties damaged from last month's tornado. The 1st installment will not be due until October.
The tax abatement from Gredco in Rochelle was approved for "Project Green". It's a commercial greenhouse facility. The project will be a 7 million dollar capital investment for the city with 20 to 22 jobs.
Reappointments yesterday evening included Robert Godman of Byron and Joseph Yockey of Stillman Valley to the Board of Review and Dorothy Bowers of Byron to the Board of Health.
