The 2nd Annual Cinco de Mayo Festival took place in Rochelle on Saturday as numerous local residents along with area people attended the event.
From live entertainment to traditional Mexican food, all ages enjoyed the activities in the downtown area.
Rochelle Community Development Director Michelle Pease said that the turnout was better than a year ago.
She also stressed that it's very important to feature the Hispanic Heritage in Rochelle.
More than 30 people were involved in the 5K walk or run yesterday. All of the proceeds went to Hope of Ogle County for their programs involving domestic violence victims.
