Rockford man pleads guilty to murdering woman at Lee County rest stop

A Rockford man faces life in prison when he is sentenced in June for the murder of a woman at a Interstate 39 rest stop in Lee County. Terence Doddy pleaded guilty yesterday to killing Monticello native Tonya Bargman. The victim was found dead in rest stop bathroom near Paw Paw last July. Prosecutors say surveillance shows Doddy dragging Bargman into the bathroom and then leaving alone. The 37-year-old is also accused of murdering Todd Hansmeier of Rockford and is expected to enter a plea in that case next week.
