Two LaSalle County men are accused of killing an Ottawa businessman, burning his body and dumping the ashes in the Fox River. Forty-eight-year-old William Horman of Dayton and 21-year-old Jonathan Beckman of Wedron are being held on bail of two-million-dollars in last week's disappearance and presumed death of their former boss, 47-year-old Robert Dowd. Police say Dowd was beaten to death at the truck washing business he owned, and his remains placed in a burn pile for two days. The suspects then allegedly dumped the ashes in the Fox River.
