Illinois is one of 23-states affected by a voluntary recall of Blue Bell dairy products because of a listeria scare. The recall by the Texas-based Blue Bell Creameries includes all products: ice cream, frozen yogurt, sherbet and frozen snacks. The company issued the recall after two samples of its chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream tested positive for the potentially deadly bacteria called listeria. The company's ice cream was linked to three listeria deaths in Kansas and five listeriosis cases in Kansas and Texas.
