A portion of Skare Park in rural Rochelle is open to the public today.
Hundreds of trees were lost from the tornado that struck the area on April 9th. A path is open right now for the trails.
The trails north of the creek remain closed due to the debris in the area.
The west end of the park also needs additional clean up in the future.
The driving range is also closed until equipment is delivered for area golfers.
Representatives from "Operation Blessing" also left Rochelle yesterday. They are based out of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
The group was involved in organizing area residents in the clean up project for the tornado victims. They began their work 2 days after the storm traveled through the area as they set up their trailer at the Helms Athletic Complex parking lot.
The Volunteer Coordination has been turned over to Americorps, now that Operation Blessing is finished in Rochelle.
