An Oregon man suffered injuries yesterday afternoon after the car he was driving struck a tree in Ogle County.
Reports indicate that a short time after 4:30, a vehicle driven by 42-year old Jay Diehl was traveling northbound in the 11 hundred block of North Daysville Road. Ogle County Sheriff's police say that Diehl failed to negotiate a curve on the road as the vehicle traveled off the pavement and struck a tree.
Diehl was extricated from the car by Oregon Fire Department personnel and then flown from the scene with non-life threatening injuries to a Rockford Hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
