Sheriff Brian VanVickle said that the day to day operations will be better with 1 location for the sheriff's department and coroner.
He said that the new telecommunication area is the biggest change for the department> This includes state of the art equipment and better lighting and windows for the employees.
Ogle County Coroner Lou Finch also talked about the benefits of the new building. He said that they have doubled the size of the area where autopsies are held along with better lighting.
Finch also said that having the sheriff's department in the same building makes for a better working relationship in the future.
Employees for the sheriff's department and Coroner's office are scheduled to be in the new Complex this Monday.
