Christians across the globe are marking Palm Sunday. It's the traditional date in the Gospels when Jesus Christ rode into Jerusalem on the colt of a donkey, while people laid down palm branches in the road. They also chanted "Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!" The event happened a week before Christ's resurrection from the dead. Catholic churches, along with Anglican and Lutheran churches will bless the palms before a service.
