A Rock Falls man was arrested Thursday following an armed robbery incident that took place at the CVS Pharmacy store in Sterling.
31-year old Robert Collins was charged with the felony offense.
Police report that Collins allegedly used a small knife during the armed robbery and demanded a drug from the employee. No one suffered any injuries from the incident.
Collins was taken into custody in a wooded area near the CVS Pharmacy in the 2300 block of Locust Street in Sterling a short time after the hold-up.
The Rock Falls man has also been charged with robbery and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
Collins remains in the Whiteside County jail today.
