At least one Illinois town now knows what an earthquake feels like. The U.S. Geological Survey says a 2.9-magnitude earthquake was measured in the Northern Illinois town of Lake in the Hills. Homes were felt shaking throughout the area. No injuries or damage was reported.
Residents in Crystal Lake, Huntley, Woodstock, and Elgin felt the quake yesterday.
