No one hurt in 2 house fires in Oregon this past weekend

The Oregon Fire Department was kept busy this past weekend following 2 house fires in the city. No one suffered any serious injuries.

The 1st fire took place Saturday morning at 506 West Madison Street. The flames began in the addition at the back of the 150-year old 2-story home. The fire was burning in the attic along with under the 1st floor addition.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation. Harold and Miranda Best live at the residence.

The 2nd fire took place yesterday morning at the home of Christopher Plum, 715 Franklin Street in Oregon.

Officials say that a candle ignited the flames in the 1-story home.

Plum received cuts to his feet, but refused medial treatment at a hospital.
