Witnesses are already getting subpoenas, and a federal grand jury in Springfield will look into the Peoria Republican's office expenses, campaign spending and personal finances and investments. The 33-year-old Shock, once a GOP shooting star and now a fallen star, made headlines with his fast-paced, Instagrammed lifestyle and made friends within the party as a prodigious fundraiser. He announced his resignation this week, saying the barrage of media questions had made it impossible to do his job.
