City officials in Rochelle held their 1st budget workshop earlier this week as they try to put together the final numbers by the end of April.
The new fiscal year for the city begins on May 1st.
During yesterday's program "Let The People Know", City Manager David Plyman talked about all communities receiving a hit from Governor Rauner's budget proposal.
Plyman said that the final number could be 6 figures for Rochelle.
He did say that no employee cuts are expected in the new budget. Some employees may have some additional duties in the job description.
