No injuries were reported following a school bus vs car crash in Rochelle yesterday morning.
The accident took place a short time before 8 on Lincoln Highway at 8th Avenue.
Reports indicate that an RTHS school bus driven by 32-year old Heather Aylsworth of Rochelle failed to yield at the intersection and collided with a northbound car.
There were a total of 7 students on the bus at the time of the crash. None suffered any injuries as well as the drivers.
Aylsworth was ticketed for failure to yield at a stop intersection.
Icy road conditions are being blamed for a school bus that rolled over in Western Illinois. The Geneseo bus was heading to a science and technology conference Thursday morning on Interstate-80 when it hit an icy spot near East Moline and rolled. School officials say the bus contained eleven children and the driver. Every person was taken to hospital for minor injuries and have since been released.
