A new 41-million-dollar jet repair hub at Chicago Rockford International Airport keeps inching closer to reality. "The Rockford Register Star" reports the Winnebago County Board's Finance Committee agreed that the county should pay eight-million-dollars towards the project. The money will help pay for construction costs over a 20-year period. The full board is expected to make a final vote tomorrow. Rockford alderman already approved a five-million-dollar contribution of their own on Monday.
