No one suffered any injuries late Saturday night followiing a townhouse fire in Rochelle.
The blaze took place a short time before 11:30 at 555 South Main Street, the Golf View Townhouses.
Rochelle Fire Department Lieutenant Dan Miller said that the fire was contained in the living room area. The cause appears to be an entertainment center which included a TV.
There was a woman and her child asleep in the townhouse when the fire began. Miller said that the smoke detector went off which saved them from any injuries.
Cost damage is estimated to be around $15,000. Most of the damage involved the smoke inside the townhouse. There was little fire damage.
A cat was killed from the incident.
There was no other fire or smoke damage to any other townhouses.
