A Byron man was back in Ogle County court Wednesday for a preliminary hearing in connection with a sexual abuse case.
21-year old Cody Logan has been charged with the Class 2 felony offense of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
The alleged incident took place between September 1st and 20th of last year. The victim was a girl between the age of 13 and 17 which Logan knew.
Byron police received word of the alleged incident in early December.
In court yesterday, Logan waived his preliminary hearing and demanded a jury trial. He must also have a sex offender evaluation.
Logan returns to court on February 9th for a pre-trial conference.
He remains in jail on a $50,000 bond.
