It can be pretty risky to drive on Illinois roads. A new WalletHub study reveals more than 13-percent of drivers in Illinois are uninsured. And, even drivers who have basic liability coverage may not be able to cover the full costs of an accident. State law only requires drivers have 20-thousand-dollars-worth-of per-person coverage for bodily injury for each accident, and 15-thousand-dollars for property damage coverage for each accident.
