An Ogle County judge set bond at $5,000 for a Rockford man after being arrested on drug charges Friday in Rochelle.
34-year old Paul Conti was arrested on the charge of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, heroin, along with possession of cannabis. A small amount of the drugs were seized by police.
Conti was originally stopped for littering by local police in the 300 block of South Main Street.
He was also wanted on a Winnebago County warrant for a traffic violation.
Conti remains in jail in lieu of bond. He returns to court on January 16th in Oregon.
