The application process for Illinois medical marijuana licenses has attracted a wide range of potential pot shop and cultivation center owners, including a former top fundraiser for Hillary Clinton. Chicago businessman David Rosen is part of a company seeking to grow pot plants near Rockford. Rosen, campaign finance director for Clinton's 2009 run for the U.S. Senate and for Pat Quinn's 2010 run for governor, won't say if he plans to help Clinton raise funds for a White House run.
A company has also applied for a cultivation center in Hillcrest.
