Village officials in Creston last night approved the fiscal year 2015 tax levy which was an increase of just under 5% from a year ago. The figure totaled $15,079.
Work began yesterday involving the storm drain project on North Street. It should be completed by the end of the week.
The board approved a proposal from Query Insurance Agency in Rochelle. Premiums increased by around $200 from last year's numbers.
The final wordage still needs to be completed in the water ordinance dealing with the meters installed in homes in the village. The changes are expected to be approved early in 2015 by the Creston board.
The fiscal year 2014 audit was also approved last night.
