The cold weather is blamed for the death of a Rock Falls woman who'd just been released from jail. Officials say they aren't sure if Janet Sims had a ride when she checked out of the Whiteside County Jail on Monday. She reportedly sat around the jail for a few hours before heading out on her own. Her body was discovered a few blocks away in a wooded area the next day. Sims died due to the cold weather.
