Governor-elect Bruce Rauner thanked voters yesterday during a fly-around of several Illinois cities, including Rockford. He told supporters in the state capital that he and his wife are looking forward to making the governor's mansion their home, a subtle dig at incumbent Pat Quinn, who has spent little time at the official residence. Rauner offered no details on his plans to reinvigorate the state's economy or on how he'd make up the budget shortfall if the income tax increase is allowed to expire.
