Rochelle Municipal Utilities has announced that it plans to donate of a Solar technology demonstration unit to the Rochelle Township High School.
Rochelle Municipal Utility has had a long standing relationship with educational institutions and has provided safety seminars as well as energy savings seminars to the schools in its service area.
The demonstration unit is a stand alone solar panel complete with battery storage and an inverter for immediate use for applications in science education.
The unit will be handed over to RTHS officials at the Solar Plant Event at the Rochelle Treatment Plant this Friday at 11am.
