A Rochelle man has pled guilty in Ogle County court in connection with a sexual assault incident that involved a minor in the Hub City.
26-year old Jimmy Burris was arrested on the felony offense of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. He was sentenced to 4 years probation.
Local police received word of the incident on June 5th. Police say that Burris knew the victim.
He was also sentenced to have DNA and random drug testing and completed a psychological or substance abuse assessment.
Burris can not have contact with the victim and must pay fees and fines that total nearly $2,000.
He had also been charged with 2 other counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse in the case. Following the guilty plea, they were dismissed by the State.
