The Hub Theater building as drawn some interests recently from several developers.
The facility is located in downtown Rochelle along Lincoln Highway as it was built in 1931. It has been closed since early 2011.
During yesterday's program "Let The People Know", Rochelle Mayor Chet Olson said that some developers have looked at the building. He hopes an agreement will be reached by the end of the year for the building.
The city has spent a small amount of money to try to prevent leakage in the building before the cold weather hits.
Olson also said that the city has no news right now if "Project Red" will be coming to Rochelle. The company is a "fresh" food distribution business based in Chicago which would have around 60 employees at their 2 facilities on the west side of town near Route 38.
"Let The People Know" is heard on Wednesday afternoons at 12:30 on Newstalk 1060 and rebroadcast Saturday mornings at 6 on Newstalk 1060 and Sunday mornings at 6 on "The Coyote".
