In a 16-7 vote last night, the Ogle County board approved the holiday schedule for employees in 2015.
The dates are set by the judges when the judicial center and courthouse is open in Oregon.
A resolution was approved prohibiting Preferred Concrete Systems of Freeport from bidding on any Ogle County project for the next 15 years. The action was the result of work done on the new Highway Department building where they poured the cement floor.
The new Sheriff's Administration building in Oregon remains on schedule as it should be open in early 2015. The roof has been completed while work continues inside dealing with electrical wiring. The curbs and sidewalks are also done.
Repairs for the roof on the jail should also be completed today.
Appointments last night included Robert Falk of Oregon to the Ogle County Housing Authority and Randy Jack Hess to the Byron Museum District.
The State's Attorney Appellate Prosecutor's contract was also approved for $18,000 during the next year.
