There are some red faces at the Winnebago County Clerk's office after some election ballots mailed to absentee voters or used by walk-in voters were found to be incomplete. Those ballots didn't include the race for the Forest Preserve Board, where three candidates are running for two open spots.
It's not clear how many bad ballots were mailed out or used by walk-in voters. The state board of elections says new ballots should be ready by Monday and will be mailed along with a letter explaining the error to voters who've requested absentee ballots.
