Hillcrest Village President Kim Whalen plans to run for a 2nd term in office.
She will make it official during a ceremony at Powers Park on Thursday morning at 9. If the weather is bad, the event will take place at the Village Hall building.
Whalen is in her 1st term as village president in Hillcrest. The Consolidated Election will be held in April of 2015.
Whalen is the only candidate so far who has announced they plan to run for village president in Hillcrest.
