The board for the Lincoln Highway Heritage Festival is scheduled to meet this evening at 5:30 as they talk about the event for 2015.
The gathering will take place in the Baldwin Room of the Hickory Grove Banquet Center.
As 1st reported last August on Newstalk 1060, funding and volunteer help was down for the festival this year. Several thousand area residents attended the 17th annual event.
Board President Lisa Chrisco said they need help from local residents and businesses to have a festival next year.
Chrisco also said it does not take up much time to be involved with the festival.
The festival would be held the 3rd weekend in August if it takes place in 2015. Chrisco said it would hurt the community if it comes to an end.
Once again, the Lincoln Highway Heritage Festival meeting is tonight at 5:30 in the Baldwin Room of the Hickory Grove Banquet Center in Rochelle.
A final decision on the event is not scheduled to be made this evening.
