Governor Quinn and Bruce Rauner battled it out in their first televised debate. Both of them stuck with their main talking points for the most part last night in Peoria. Quinn slammed Rauner on his budget and tax plans, but touted his own success on rebuilding the auto industry and driving the unemployment rate down. Rauner says the unemployment rate isn't down far enough. He says his business savvy will help bring the state out of a fiscal crisis and into prosperity. The two will debate again next Tuesday.
