Rochelle Municipal Utilities is continuing their conversion underground electrical project.
Local residents have noticed during the past several weeks construction equipment in utility easements in back yards of homes.
The 5kv project will be done in 5 phases. Each phase will take 1 year to complete depending on funding.
Phase 1 is being done at the present time on the north and west sections of Rochelle. The streets include:
**Carrie Avenue
**North 14th Street
**Sunset Terrace
**Highland Avenue
**Scott Avenue
**Joanne Lane
**Tilton Park Drive
**The 1,000 and 11 hundred blocks of North 7th Street
Residents are asked to leave any flag markers in their yard until the work is completed. Please keep children and animals away from construction equipment.
