Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan has opened an investigation into the credit card data breach reported by the Jimmy John's sandwich chain. Madigan urges customers to check their accounts for unauthorized charges if they used their credit or debit card at a Jimmy John's between mid-June and earlier this month. The Champaign-based company says that while stores in 37 states, including Illinois, were affected, the data breach has now been contained.
