The state's medical marijuana program is months away from beginning operation, but it's already brought in five-million-dollars to the state. That's the non-refundable amount paid by applicants to become licensed growers and sellers of medical marijuana products. The state got more applicants than it expected -- two-hundred-eleven for the 60-dispensary licenses and one-hundred-58 applications for the 21 cultivation center slots.
