Former city official Paul "Bob" Rees was appointed this week as the new Commissioner of Public Property in Oregon.
He replaces Pat Wiesner who has resigned effective October 1st. Weisner is stepping down due to his new job.
The Oregon Police Department also has a new officer. Cassie Rogers will have to be trained at the state police academy before she can hit the streets in Oregon.
Residents in Oregon are reminded that petitions are available at City Hall for the next local election. It will be held in April of 2015.
