An Earlville woman was pronounced dead at the scene yesterday evening following an alcohol related motorcycle crash in DeKalb County.
Killed in the accident was 69-year old Paula Dorsen. She was wearing a helmet when the incident took place.
The driver of the 3-wheel motorcyle was 52-year old Jeffery Dorsen of Earlville, Paula's husband. He was traveling northbound on West County Line Road, just south of Shabbona Grove Road, a short time after 7 yesterday evening when the vehicle left the pavement into a ditch.
The motorcycle overturned and the Dorsens were ejected into a corn field.
Jeffery Dorsen was transported by helicopter to a Rockford hospital for treatment of his injuries. He was also arrested on the charge of DUI, improper lane usage, and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
The crash remains under investigation by DeKalb County Sheriff's Police.
