A travel club is accused of swindling Illinois residents out of tens-of-thousands-of-dollars. Attorney General Lisa Madigan has filed suit against the Global Discovery Vacation Program. She says the Kansas based company and two of its Chicago area reps charged people eight-thousand-dollars up front plus 400-bucks a year to get discounted rates on lavish trips all across the world. But, they never delivered on that promise. Madigan says people receive the offer through direct mail and telemarketing calls that claim the person has won a free prize or free roundtrip airfare.
